A new study by Netflights revealed that the music you listen to before and during your flight can impact your anxiety both in a good and bad way. It all depends on what music you're listening to, or more accurately, it depends on its beats per minute (BPMs).

The correlation is simple: The lower the number of BPMs of a song, the more calming it will be, with results including a reduce heart and respiratory rates, lower blood pressure, and less tension on your muscles.

And since most travelers tend to download the latest chart-topping hits ahead of a flight, it might be beneficial to do so based on their BPMs, especially if you tend to get nervous ahead of a flight.

To help you in this musical quest, the travel experts at Netflights analyzed the most popular songs of the moment, and compiled two lists highlighting both the best and the worst songs to listen to when flying, depending on their BPMs.
