Try 14 days freeGreetings and welcome to the end of Week Two of your guided journey to less stress. Two whole weeks down is an amazing accomplishment, so huge congrats to you for making this commitment to yourself and a healthier mind. Let's get started with today's strategies. Today, we're talking about how the mind and body are connected in the experience and management of stress, and why physical movement is another proven strategy to keep in our toolkit. Hopefully you've already been seeing the benefits of mindful movement so far in this program. Research shows physical activity reduces stress hormones and stimulates the production of endorphins, which together help foster relaxation in the body and mind. You may not agree at first. In the beginning, exercise can feel like more work than fun. As you get into a groove, you begin to enjoy physical activity because of the mental benefits that it brings, like a happier mood and increased feelings of relaxation and optimism. This doesn't have to mean high intensity activity either. Even gentle stretching, yoga, and practicing simple power poses have been shown to reduce stress. Science shows that just as our mindsets impact our wellbeing, our bodies and postures can have an equally powerful impact on our mindsets. It's all in the mind-body connection. So let's end Week Two with some simple exercises meant to help relax you and improve your mood. Congrats again for your commitment to a life of less stress....
