Try 14 days freeLanguage can be an exciting and transformational tool to communicate our thoughts and emotions to ourselves, each other, and the world. Whether it's the language of the body, signed, spoken, or felt, the countless languages of the world are constantly changing and have the power to create and destroy. Speaking with intention is a practice as old as our first conversations, intentions to carry our thoughts to another with clarity and ease. Affirmations use the repetition of positive words and statements to clarify our own intentions, and what we want to be true in our lives or the lives of others. Join me in this affirmation practice as we explore statements that will hopefully strengthen ourselves as allies, expand our use of language that is new to us, and root our communication in the love of those we care about. I encourage you to repeat these out loud, or in your head as they are spoken. I am always learning. I am open to trying new things. I speak clearly and intentionally. I speak gently with the people I love. I am open to making mistakes. I learn from the mistakes I make. I move through uncomfortable feelings with ease. I am strong, smart, and I am adaptable. I learn new things quickly. I love finding new and exciting ways to communicate. I am open to listening to those I love. I receive criticism with an open heart. I can change quickly and effortlessly to affirm the people I care about. I am constantly learning from life and the people around me. I am a powerful communicator. The things I say have meaning. I speak with intention. The intention of my words and actions are rooted in love. I am a strong protector. I speak up for others who have been silenced. I listen to those who are finally able to speak up. I am sensitive to nonverbal communications. I am empathetic to the subtle cues of the people I care about. The people I love are safe to express their truths with me. I am safe to express my truths. I can share my truth firmly and gently. I take my time communicating my thoughts to reduce harm. I think before I speak. I am able to learn new things at any age. I create new patterns and habits with ease. I speak with my actions, as well as my words. I am gentle with myself when I make mistakes. I am gentle with others when they make mistakes. Every day, I find new and exciting ways to express my thoughts. I take my time affirming the people I care about in a multitude of ways. Thank you for joining me during this practice of affirmations. Know that wherever you are on your journey of understanding how language and identity coincide, you can always revisit this meditation as a way to integrate these statements into your life and how you communicate. Here are some future actions you can do...
