Try 14 days freeWhen we start meditating, we're making a commitment. One way of thinking about this is planting a seed. Our intention to commit to the skill? That's simply the seed being planted. But we then have to look after it in the right way. We need to cultivate it. Part of this process is ensuring that the seed has enough sunshine. In meditation, the sunshine that helps it grow is a kind, gentle, and open mind. But we also need to ensure the seed has enough water on a regular basis. The water represents our consistency. How often are we meditating? If we sit to meditate regularly, then we can feel good about looking after the seed. Over time, with a warmth of an open mind and the regular care of consistent practice, our little seedling might just start to flourish. How it turns out is not so important.
