Try 14 days freeYou deserve love, today and every day. Hi, it's Joy here, and sometimes we could all use that reminder, myself included. Self-love is an easy thing to forget, and when our inner critic has the mic, it can stop us from believing that we deserve to love ourselves. But I'm here to tell you, you always deserve love. One way to practice self-love is by turning to affirmations. These are phrases we can repeat to ourselves. When we feel like our self-talk is veering negative, it's like an anchor to help us feel grounded. Today, we'll create a self-love affirmation for you, and reflect on a few of our favorites. You can have these phrases at the ready when you need a dose of self-kindness and love. Feel free to grab your journal for today's exercise, and if journaling isn't available to you, just reflect mentally. Hit pause if you need some time to get your materials. Alright, let's get started. (tranquil music) First, get comfy. Close your eyes or gently soften your gaze. Lift your spine up nice and tall. Take a gentle deep breath in, and out. (tranquil music continues) Make this next one a little bit longer. In, and out. If you can, bring your right hand to your belly, and place your left hand on your heart. Breathe here. Embrace the love within yourself. Try and focus your attention on these spaces where your hands are. Breathe into them, and be present with the rise and fall of your chest. I'll give you some time. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) If you're journaling, I invite you to open your eyes and grab your materials. If you are reflecting mentally, feel free to rest your hands and keep your eyes closed. I'm gonna say some self-love affirmations, and with each one, I want you to write it down or say it to yourself. I'll say each one twice. Feel free to pause, if you need more time to write or reflect. Let's get started. I am here and that matters. I am here and that matters. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) Every day I am evolving. Every day I am evolving. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) It's okay to feel my feelings. It's okay to feel my feelings. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) I can aim for progress, not perfection. I can aim for progress, not perfection. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) I am worthy of love. I am worthy of love. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) I am enough. I am enough. (tranquil music continues) (tranquil music continues) Beautiful job. Now, let's choose a self-love affirmation of your own. It can be one I just said, or one you've come up with that's unique to you. Just make sure that it feels comfortable and affirming. Take the next few moments to think of your own affirmation, and once you do, write it down, or repeat it to...
