Try 14 days freeSometimes when we sit to meditate we can get caught up in our everyday lives. There's a lot to think about. Our work, our family, our hopes, dreams, fears. We forget that pausing, resting the mind in awareness provides a way for us to really appreciate the preciousness of life. You know that feeling where you directly experience what it means to be alive. To feel genuinely grateful if only for a moment. As we feel grateful for our physical health, for our friends and family. For having food, shelter and hopefully freedom of movement. Or perhaps just feeling grateful for a mind which although may be troublesome at times has the potential to be both healthy and happy. These are the things that we can so easily take for granted when we're very caught up in life. Always chasing after the future. Always looking back to the past. But resting in awareness allows us to let go of both the future and the past. Not in a negative way but to simply let go. To rest the mind in the present with an appreciation of just how precious is human life really is....
