Try 14 days freeWelcome, it's Jamila. Today's practice is all about rewriting our stories. Our stories are the narratives we have in our subconscious mind. These narratives run in the back of our minds like a radio left on, and inform our choices every single day. We all have stories that don't serve us. For years, my stories were distorted beliefs about my worthiness and potential. Like, I'm too difficult to love. I'm too much. I'll never be good enough. We have to know what our stories are in order to rewrite them, and then we can be more empowered creators of our lives. Our thoughts are the precursors to our everyday choices, and when we change the way we think, we can change the way we live. Today, we're gonna use writing as a tool to discover some deeper layers of ourselves. I'll be guiding you through a journal reflection to identify the stories that are holding you back, and crafting new stories that support your truest self and fullest life. Take a moment to grab your journal or whatever you'd like to write with. Press pause if you need to. And if journaling isn't available to you today, that's okay, feel free to reflect mentally. Whenever you're ready, let's begin. We'll start by getting grounded. Close your eyes and bring your focus inward for a moment. Feel the way the breath feels moving through your body, and let yourself settle in to the present moment. Take a second here to set an intention for this practice. Think about how you wanna show up to this meditation today and what you wanna get out of it. Perhaps you want to stay present during this practice, or you wanna learn something new about yourself that you didn't know before. Whatever comes to mind, trust it and let it be. Take a deep breath in to set that intention, and a deep breath out to release anything that might stand in the way of that intention being fully realized. Before we dive in, I wanna encourage you to explore these prompts with as much tenderness and curiosity as possible. Some of these questions might bring up memories and emotions. I invite you to breathe with whatever comes up for you and trust that if you can breathe with it, you can be with it. Take three deep inhales and exhales. In and out. In and out. And one last deep breath, in and out. If you're journaling today, you can open your eyes. I want you to think about your legacy, the mark you want to leave on the world. I like to think of myself as a future ancestor, someone that people will look to for generations to come and use my life as an example of what is possible for theirs. So take another deep breath here. Clear your mind and reflect. How do you want to be remembered? What do you want people to say about you when you're gone? I'll...
