Try 14 days freeHi there, it's Sam here. I'm back with John for our final audio lesson of the Mindful Parenting Course. In this episode, we're hoping to offer some key takeaways from the collection and some thoughts to leave you with. Think of it as a nice little bow on our mindful parenting package. So, John, what are some of the biggest things you hope people will take away from this collection? First and foremost, thank you for taking on this important task of trying to raise a child and to try to do so in a way that brings out your best qualities and supports your child. It is a massive undertaking, and we understand that wholly. Second, I think there could be an aspect of all our lessons that could be daunting. And so to just remind you that we're here. Feel free to revisit and replay some of these conversations and activities as they best apply to you. Yeah, well, what comes to mind is just this underlying theme and message of creating a space where you know you matter and your kids know they matter and that you all feel a sense of belonging. Most days we're not perfect but if each lesson has some tools that will help serve that bigger picture of knowing you matter, knowing you belong. I couldn't agree more. You as a parent have great power to direct your attention, to see more of those behaviors and skills that we wanna see out of our children, that you have the opportunity to model. You can lead with curiosity instead of with judgment. And you can mention emotions, because when you do, they become more manageable. Absolutely, and please be kind to yourself. You know, as you're listening, if you get one thing, like one word even, that then gets you thinking or setting an intention around something in your family, that's enough. Love that. We hope that this material is flexible enough to allow you to apply it to most any situation as they come up in your lives as parent and child. And if not, noting that this is a start and that there are enormously valuable interventions that a mental health professional could provide you, your child, and your family if necessary. And John, I think it's a great way we can end today and this collection is to share a quote from someone we both admire greatly, and I'm talking about Mr. Rogers. So can you close us out with this beautiful Mr. Rogers quote? We chose this quote because it really speaks to our experience working with parents and families. "When I was very young, most of my childhood heroes wore capes, flew through the air, or picked up buildings with one arm. They were spectacular and got lots of attention. But as I grew, my heroes changed, so that now I can honestly say that anyone who does anything to help a child is a hero to me."...
