Try 14 days freeToday is another day to crush it. I know, I know, easier said than done. But hear me out, you have a bright, unique energy that you can tune into with a mindfulness practice like this, especially first thing in the morning. First, let's wake up that sleepy body. Roll out your shoulders towards the front and the back, put your head to the right side so you can stretch through your neck. Now the left. Reach your arms way up. Hold them there and take a deep inhale. Now exhale down as you lean over to try and touch your toes. And if you can't touch your toes, that's okay, I can't either. On your next inhale, come back up slowly. If you want to channel your inner yogi here with anything extra, go for it. Now that we feel grounded in our bodies, let's do the same for our brains. Instead of sitting still for a meditation, I want you to go to the nearest window, preferably one with a view and not a brick wall. Look out the window and try to really take in what you see. Maybe it's a tree or a bird, or even just notice what the sky looks like today. You know, we spend all day hopping from screen to screen to screen, and we often can't even help it. But by starting the day with sunlight rather than yet another Instagram scroll, you're waking your brain up at your pace and connecting with a world around you. Next, let's take a moment to visualize your day ahead, and maybe you can pour yourself a big glass of water while you do this. Your body is dehydrated and it needs the water it hasn't gotten all night. Now, think of what you expect to be doing today, and zero in on the moments that feel routinely hard, a long commute, dealing with a frustrating coworker, having the energy for an evening passion project. Imagine yourself crushing it today, being surrounded by positivity and tackling everything with complete confidence. And now imagine the flip side. Maybe things end up being tough but you keep the same positivity within and you handle it all with grace. Now you're prepared for your day, whatever it may bring you. And before you get out there say this mantra either out loud or in your head, I have a bright, unique energy that helps me stay mindful no matter what the day brings. Now go out and get your shine on....
