Whenever we commit to something – meditation, a sport, a project, a cause – it’s important that we show up wholeheartedly if we are to grow and see results.

Try 14 days freeHey Headspace. It's Raheem here, checking in. I got into meditation purely because I wanted to try something new. Hi. I'm Dora, a meditation teacher here at Headspace. I recently spent some time with international football star Raheem Sterling. I dropped in with him to chat about football, life and how he looks after his mind. Commitment for me is from nine years of age, always being on time, not realizing, you know, where you are going but with that commitment, dedication, you know, you then start to see results. Doing that but not just doing it cause I have to go to football, cause I genuinely have a love and a passion for it. And so I always try to keep myself motivated and committed. Yeah, I love what you said about like not just doing it because you're doing it but doing it because you genuinely like, love what you're doing. And I think sometimes when it comes back to meditation like, we just wait until things get really bad before we start to meditate, or we wait until we're really stressed before we start to meditate. And I think staying true to that commitment to yourself of today I'm gonna meditate for five minutes, commit to showing up every single day, just showing up and being there and practicing is how we get better. I'd say I was one of the individuals that was very much it's not for me, but I do think, you know, if we can address it and put it to, you know, the younger audiences, I do think a lot of kids, you know, will take a lot more interest in it. It's a beautiful thing at the end of the day. And you know, if you can reach out to them in a certain way for them to understand that, I think we'll definitely see the benefits in years to come....
